The Christian Testimony of 'Badger' - an ex-football hooligan
Before I received eternal life I was a very angry person with a quick temper and hated being rejected. I was a wretched sinner always looking for love and affirmation in all the wrong places.
I remember all the times I was bullied and picked upon in my infant and teenage years just for having parents from different European nations. The school bullies would always poke fun and hurl verbal daily insults , because to them I was an easy target being shy and timid. Having reached a decision enough was enough, I asked my Ukranian father and Italian mother if they would purchase a set of weight-training and body-building equipment when I became eleven years of age. I dedicated the majority of my spare time in building up my body and also began to take up Judo and Martial Arts, namely Karate and Tae-Kwon-Do, and that no person would ever hurt me again physically or verbally!
In November 1993, having met an ex-professional football player, James Robert Bedding, (at the back of Tottenham Football Club), who was a born-again Christian with an incredible powerful testimony of how he went from a cocaine drug fuelled wretched sinner into a child of God after a dramatic encounter experience with the LORD Jesus Christ. Having ministered to me and then praying for me, a week later as a mature student attending Middlesex University in North London, Tottenham, England, I too by God's great love, mercy, and amazing grace had a supernatural encounter with God's Holy Spirit at 3.00 - and 5:00 am in the early hours of a freezing November morning while living above a Greek Cypriot hairdressers' shop along the Seven Sisters Road, that lasted for three days.
Soon after, I quickly changed my curriculum of studies focusing on Religious Studies and attended Oakhill Christin Bible College for 2 and-half years in North London, and totally surrendered my life to serving the LORD Jesus Christ, all the days of my life for He had given me a 'second chance'. He forgave me and took me away from 25 years of violent fooball hooliganism and gang crime membership, and transformed me into a beloved child of God, all for His glory, Amen!
Now that I have been given eternal life I no longer am afraid of death!
I believe God has ministering guardian angels to protect us, this I surely know for I am a living testimony of his security and protection having survived death on many occasions; from falling from a very large oak tree I fell from aged just ten years old, and three serious motor-bike crashes. To facing violent men in many football hooligan fights around the UK, with various weapons they carried on them like knives, baseball bats, machetes, guns, etc, etc.
The eternal life that the LORD Jesus Christ offers is permanent as we get to live with Him forever in the Kingdom of Heaven, glory Halleluyah, Amen!
